✨ VEILED ENCHANTMENTS ✨
status: completed

Seventeen-year-old Blake has spent her life studying magic at Holtsworth Academy with the hope of joining the ranks of the Royal Corps, an elite infantry comprised of Divine witches descended from the gods. There’s only one problem: Blake isn’t a Divine witch at all, she’s a hedge witch; basically mortal. As niece of the headmistress, she is confined to the role of assistant and silent observer of the extraordinary lessons unfolding around her, her own negligible powers denying her full participation.
A spark of hope arrives during the Corps’ annual visit to the academy, when Blake learns that the Grandwitch has brought along a secret necklace containing a volatile and immeasurable magic. Finally, Blake has a chance of wielding the power she has always longed for. But just as she finds a way to obtain it, the necklace disappears and Blake believes she knows exactly who stole it: Maeve Moram, the irritating but intriguing daughter of Death herself.
What begins as a quest to recover the necklace results in Blake unearthing not only the hidden truth of her fellow hedge witches but also a deeper and darker power that she can’t begin to comprehend. Blake must decide who – and what – she really is before this ancient magic consumes her and the world she knows.

LEGACY OF BLOOD
status: drafting

Morrigan is heir to a dying witch clan.
Centuries after the fall of the tyrant Macha the Dread, Blood Clan has been worn down, its lands taken, its numbers thinned, and its influence fading. Now a semicentennial tournament approaches: the contest that will decide which clan is entrusted with the source of the continent’s dwindling magic for the next fifty years. For most clans, it’s tradition. For Blood Clan, it’s survival. Morrigan is determined to win, even with a hundred obstacles in her way, not least of all her cousin Ava, the powerful and polished heir to Fire Clan.
When Morrigan travels to Fire Clan’s capital with her mother and twin brother, she is confronted by a city that makes her own home feel small and forgotten. Already dwarfed by Ava’s prowess, Morrigan is faced with another of fate’s setbacks. She is paired with Tahra, the last-minute heir to Earth Clan, whose magic is so weak that she can barely coax a plant to grow. Their partnership begins out of necessity, but as the trials push them to their limits, resentment softens into trust and then into something neither of them expected.
Just as Morrigan begins to believe she might have a chance, rumours spread of covens disappearing beyond the tournament grounds. The competition may decide the fate of the clans, but something else is moving in the shadows, and it threatens far more than her chances at victory.
